Im truly never disappointed with Elsie Silver. This was another hit! I loved the banter and the tension. The daughter-father storyline was an unexpected but well done sub plot.
Elsie Silver…how do you DO this. Literal perfection in a book. I thought previous books were my favorite and then this comes along and blows it out of the water. Childhood frenemies in the best way. The sass between these two reminds me of my own life and my favorite part of mine and my husbands relationship.
I already knew I loved Elsie Silver but there’s something about the way she writes banter that is incomparable and honestly puts me in a book slump. Between the emails, the diary and their verbal banter I was swooning and giggling the whole way through.
The way the relationships in this book grew and changed was my favorite thing. The subtle way that Rosie works her way into his daughter’s life, the way the friendship (not enemies whatsoever) builds and builds to an amazing peak. I adored the little idiosyncrasies that you pick up on between Ford and his Daughter. All of it.
Pink scrunchies. Pens. Paint stains. And a damn bowling rivalry…who knew? Elsie Silver knew.
