This author knows how to write a love story! I ate this book up! Loved it so much! I gasped, I laughed, I blushed.

To be honest I think I finished this book so fast so that it wouldn’t show up on my Goodreads anymore with that horrible cover. Jk jk in terms of romance it was actually one of the best ones I’ve read so far. It definitely had its cheesy moments but the pacing was so good and I liked the characters in this story. I know this author has another really popular series but this book just came out so I wanted to read it before booktok started talking about it. Super found family, childhood friends to lovers, mild enemies to lovers but I doubt I would even consider it that.

Ford Grant Jr., newly crowned 'World's Hottest Billionaire', has relocated to Rose Hill, his happy place, site of summer days spent as a broody teenager. By happenstance, life also brings home Rosie Belmont, Ford's best friend's younger sister, and the subject of both his teenage angst and fascination. Ford's past decisions sneak up on him (in the best, broodiest way possible), and proximity to Rosie makes him realize what he wanted all along. Now, can he get out of his head long enough to go after it?

Elsie Silver can put together one heck of a romance. Ford is not your typical romance novel MMC. Sure, he's built and smart, but he's also a neurotic perfectionist, which was sort of refreshing. Rosie also had quirks that saved her from being too cliché. The setting is immersive and beautifully described, but not all shiny and happy. 4 stars because while I liked it, I didn't really connect with anyone and didn't feel any big feelings while reading it. I am excited to read the rest of the series.
