Like the first book, there was a section in this one that dragged for me, but I zoomed through the last 100 or so pages.
I understand that it's the point of the character, but it's still unpleasant to read Rebecca making the same mistakes she did in the first book. I get second-hand anxiety reading about her spending and the way she thinks about shopping, which is why the beginning and especially the middle of this book were rough for me. Rebecca definitely has a problem, but she's working on it and ends up better and better off by the end of each book.
I really did like those last 100 pages so this is 3 stars instead of 2. Once again looking forward to the next one. The end of this book sees Rebeccaliving in NYC in January of 2001 , so I'm curious to see how the author will decide to handle 9/11 in the next book (or maybe the fourth book as I don't know when the next book will be set).

I enjoyed reading this, it was quick and easy to get through, which was nice. Although I do hope that as the series continues that Becky doesn't keep having the same problem of being in debt. As long as the series moves away from that plot line then I'm sure I'll enjoy the rest.

la verdad es q me gusto mucho más este !!! el primero fue muy introductorio y me costó mucho más terminarlo. si no leíste el primero tampoco te pierdes de tanto ya que alguas cosas se vuelven a explicar. yy bueno amo q la relación de ella con luke se termina de establecer, aunque por momentos los quería ahorcar a los dos

The shopaholic series are my least favorite Kinsella books. I find it hard to relate to the main character because I want to shake her and tell her to stop spending money. Because I am such a budget-freak (I HAVE to know where every penny goes) I find myself stressed out reading these books. however, in true Kinsella style, they are compelling and funny
