This is my first read by Monica Murphy, overall it was a very decent read. I typically don't read romance set in high school, the drama was eh but I did enjoy watching Diego and Jocelyn grow and mature, it may of taken Diego a while to finally get the "oh crap I need to grow up" moment, but he did and it worked out. His story was heartbreaking something no child should have to go through.

Monica Murphy absolutely killed this story. From start to finish I was hooked. I devoured this book in one sitting, I couldn’t put it down. Diego and Jocelyn are more than I could have imagined. The push and pull of their relationship, and the back and forth was heart wrenching but also beautiful. Fighting For You is so beautifully written and pulled out so many emotions in me.
Diego and Jocelyn’s journey is certainly not an easy one. From the start I knew that this read was going to be quite the emotional rollercoaster ride of a journey but I was here for it! All of these feels had me twisted up in the best possible way, the teenage angst, the drama, the emotional toil, the yearning, the desire, everything and so much more had my heart racing, and had me sitting on the edge of my seat. And I have to say, the character evolution of Diego was nothing short of remarkable. I was completely in awe of his growth and maturity that he gained throughout the story. And by the end, I was fully rooting for him. I have fallen completely in love with Diego! Monica Murphy isn't afraid to write about heroes who are a bit rough around the edges and yet find that perfectly imperfect person who fits their souls the way no one else can. Diego found his soulmate in Jocelyn and despite all the stops, starts and resistance, this has been one wonderful journey.
Fighting For You is an inspiring journey filled with love, heartbreak, redemption and growth. Monica Murphy is one of my favorites ever and this story is exactly why. I loved every minute of this book, and it’s completely stolen my heart.

I have been waiting for Diego and Jocelyn's story ever since snippets of their relationship made appearances in previous books. Especially when Diego was such an awful jerk in Falling For Her. Their journey wasn't an easy one. But I'm glad that Jocelyn actually left him, powered through, and didn't stay with him. She knows that Diego needed to change for himself first.
If you've read previous books then you'd know he was a selfish, irresponsible A-hole. He said a lot of shitty things and treated people however he wanted. But all I can say is he really redeemed himself in this one. He really step up and matured. He become a responsible adult and he was wonderful with his daughter. But even so, would Jocelyn take him back?
You just have to read this one. It's definitely an emotional one. I can't wait for Tony's book now!

This book. Let me just say I’ve been waiting for a while for this book. If you read the previous Callahan books then you will probably have hated Diego. You’d probably think this douche doesn’t need a book. But trust me he needed a book. You get to see his home life. You get to understand why he is the way he is. But you also get to see him redeem himself. Yes some decisions he made were stupid but I’m glad he grew from them. Also you favorite thing about Drew is he is literally a father figure to all his players. This is the type of coach every school needs. He is listens to his players but he doesn’t let them get away with bullsh*t. So I’m glad Diego had him as a father figure. His mother I have mixed feelings about. I hated her but towards the end she had me feeling a little bit sorry for her.
As for Jocelyn. She is literally a mature teenager. The way she handles her pregnancy. It’s literally amazing. She did make me say ugh no don’t do that, but we need to learn from our mistakes which she did. I’m glad her mom had that little pep talk with her. Diego and Jocelyn both needed to grow up and figure out what they want. Because they had a baby coming. It’s not just them anymore. I’m glad they did what they did. I’m glad Jocelyn made that step. I loved this book. If you are looking for a really good second chance romance this is your book.

Well, she did a very good job of capturing the immature nature of teens. Did I like this book? No. Will I remember what happened in a few months? Also no.
what I loved about Diego & Jos when reading this book what the vulnerability you feel for them both. Yes from the beginning of the series we saw a side we hated from Diego, but Monica redeemed him in our eyes. Jocelyn is a sweet character in a life-changing situation. You go through with them all the changes that will be happening to their lives because let us be honest for 17/18 years old teen pregnancy will impact you no matter the decisions you make.
side note: why why why why would anyone believe ANYTHING that comes out of Cami's mouth, I mean COME ON!

Beautifully written and heartfelt story of young love. This was such a remarkable coming of age story. It was a tough journey but I absolutely loved it till the end.
There is some great character development here, especially for Diego.
The book was emotional, not easy at times, but in the end you will be glad of the bumpy journey. I know I was.
I cannot recommend it enough.

Wow! What a wonderfully amazing story. Readers are first introduced to Diego in the book Falling for Her. Not gonna lie, he was a total jerk. I was not a fan of his actions and behavior. He treated Jocelyn like complete crap. So I was a little skeptical on how he is going to be redeemed. But as usual, the incredible Monica Murphy weaves a story about a boy struggling to cope with a less than perfect home life. The only defense he has is to act tough and pretend that nothing bothers him. Until he finds out that Jocelyn is pregnant. At first he acts like a complete tool. But when you start to see why he acts the way he does, you see that there is more going on then meets the eye. He tries really hard to win Jocelyn back, but something always gets in their way. I cannot express how much I ended up loving Diego and his transformation from a complete jerk to an incredible dad. Such a great story!
