I enjoyed reading through the discovery of a human who realizes the world is bigger and kinder than she’d ever known before. The banter is adorable and the males surrounding her are absolutely mouthwatering!

I think this was a great introduction to a highly enjoyable fantasy romance. Overall, this book covers Maya experiencing the real world for the first time after a life of tortuous captivity and that includes bullies at school, a flight of dragons that are her "friends", and hiding her abuse at home from prying eyes. I was hoping for the author to capitalize a little more on the PTSD elements for Maya as I absolutely love reading the hurt/comfort trope, but Maya assimilated to life with her flight fairly easily. If anything, the flight slowed progression of their relationship out of concern for her wellbeing when I think Maya would've had the pedal to the metal! The cliffhanger at the end of this actually wasn't as bad as I was expecting! It was more of a truth bomb, versus a perilous situation.

I fell in love. Simple as that. I adore Maya. I'm swooning super hard for all her guys. There was tension, steam, and a good dose of hope in trying situations. I need more so bad I'm prepared to beg. Might be my favorite from M. Sinclair so far and I've enjoyed everything.

Not very spicy but it was cute.
Heroine is a virgin, and has never kissed anyone before. She also doesn’t know much about romance or dating because she was sheltered her whole life.
Not sure if any of the H’s are virgins. I would assume not. The twins had their ex’s show up but they said they only dated the girls for about a month and it wasn’t love. Two other girls hit on other members of the harem but the guys told the heroine they weren’t interested and never fucked them.
No sex has taken place yet hence the not very spicy part.
A cute read, mostly forgettable and will probably not continue the series because I need to read more books on my tbr

Maya has lived her life trapped in the basement of a church, being punished for having the devil inside of her. When her father dies, her mother moves her to Seattle. A chance run-in with local shifters reveals that Maya is more than she appears. She just has to survive five days until she turn 18 and can finally be free of the torture. Five days until this bird can spread her wings. But more and more guys are showing up in her life, and something tells her that they are not your average men.
This book is a definite slow burn. However, the story is so good that it was only mildly frustrating when the spice is just there but not quite. It works with Maya's story though. She's known nothing besides the stone walls of a basement and pain. Suddenly thrown into a huge and colorful world, it's easy to see how she could get overwhelmed. Especially with the multiple men making up her harem.
I loved, loved, loved Maya's character. She would be so believable if she crumbled, but she is so strong and willing to fight for what's right and what she believes in. Should we all have such inner strength. Also, the boys? Yum. They all have their own thing going on, but make it work for them. Their dedication to Maya's recovery and freedom is such a highlight and I'm here for it!

I like Maya! She is innocent yet she has such strength that she draws from way down inside her as she is finally allowed the freedom to express herself. I really enjoy the dynamic between her and her dragons too. They are so protective of her and in tune with her feelings. I am looking forward to reading more as the story progresses.
