4 Stars. Caldon has officially become my absolute favourite book boyfriend, an especially impressive feat considering he is not a love interest of the main character. There is such a beautiful friendship between Kiva and Caldon that I felt at ease when reading their interactions. This final book in the trilogy was a lot more similar to the first, in that both had “quests” which the main cast needed to achieve. It made for an easy and addictive read which I thoroughly enjoyed. I once again felt that Noni did an incredible job exploring the motivations of and relationships between characters. My only negative would be that the number of “surprise” identity twists had been over done in the earlier books, so in this book it was more annoying than engaging.
