If you you've read all the other Prey novels then you already love the main characters. This book is not much different in plot, but there are some uncomfortable themes.
This long running series and its spin offs have managed to maintain their quality for a very long time. This is one of the better ones I have read. It is endlessly interesting with twists and turns and the old favorite characters are still good and the villains here are quite fascinating. Strongly recommended
First prey book where I didn't have a difficult time putting it down. Enough said.
Took a little bit to get the characters straight this was my first Lucas davenport novel. If you don't like language or violence this probably won't be your kind of book. Had just enough suspense and humor. Not a bad read.
As this series progresses, I feel the writing standard has remained high and the stories still have the power to grip me. This story takes us across the country and Lucas gets together with Bob and Ray again as they hunt down a creepy crook. Love these Marshalls and they add to the humour. Highly recommended
This was ok. I used to listen to a lot of Sandford's Prey books years ago. Enjoyed them. This one was the same narrator. There were times when I found his voices to be somewhat racist and sexist. Also about halfway through the book, the author starting describing scenes twice - from both the bad guys' and good guys' point of view. Interesting technique, draws the story out (not always a good thing). Probably won't be in a rush to read another Prey book.
John Sandford never disappoints. Just when you think every crime imaginable has been written about he comes up with something new. This time it's a cannibal, who would have thought.
It’s a self explanatory story and I feel like the story is not for me. Other might think it’s amazing but not me
