Was overall a good read and I thought it was a good addition to the shadowhunter universe. The plot was interesting, connects well to the previous book and sets up well for the next book. I love the characters and their relationships with each other. The main thing I didn’t like was that there was a lot of miscommunication/dramatic irony where I felt like I was always waiting for the characters to discover something or tell each other something. It’s so thing I think is common and Cassandra Clare books but it drives me a little crazy.

I'm torn about this one because I still think the books in this particular series could use some serious editing (like most of Cassie's later books), but I think she has a knack for writing relationships. Particularly relationships that never go the way you want them to. So much pining!

There's a lot to be straightened out in the last book in this trilogy, and you know I will definitely be reading it. Even though it just feels like these books just keep getting longer and longer.

I understand why they are going to Paris but it still hurts
This one of the best books in the series.
I loved when the bracelet broke. I love that the Herondale love broke it
I loved that Jessie was brought back by Lucie.  She just did since the anchor was no longer there

I literally don't have anything to say. I feel as if I will either love or hate the second half of the book depending on how Chain of Thorns ends up? It's always hard with the middle book because it isn't the end of the story so I have to see how it plays in the macro plot. I just wish we had some more time with the side characters but any scene with Cordelia and James made me very happy. Also, this book made me a Jesse Blackthorne Stan. I think it is a very strong second book, and Cassandra Claire has gotten a lot better at entwining a strong plot with her always fantastic characters. <spolier> I think I am most looking forward to the Magnus, Will, and James journey kladsjflkjasdklj it's going to be so chaotic. Also Jem playing at the wedding made me so happy and the scene of James showing Cordelia around the house and Jesse and Lucie dancing and basically everything lol. I just don't have coherent thoughts so rip.
