Reviews - 現実主義勇者の王国再建記I [Genjitsushugisha no Oukokukaizouki, Manga 1]

Started this manga as it was recommenced from the other series i have recently read, i have to say i wasn't sure i was going to enjoy this series but i was wrong.

I do like strategy in manga and anime and this series is full of that, the MC is OP but not in the sense of most other isekai manga but still is really enjoyable.

I don't like the art, which is like 90s shonen. The unhumanly huge boobs hanging out are gross and distracting. The main character's face is so old-school that it is also distracting. I dislike the harem aspect. The story doesn't make sense with the hero as a teen boy. If he had been a college grad, his knowledge and wisdom would have been more believable. We're supposed to believe that him reading non-fiction as a teen has made him a perfect ruler?? However, if you're into civil engineering and politics, this is a wet dream. Everything is so clearly explained. The combination of magic and modern day know-how is incredibly satisfying. I don't know about the writing, but I suspect I will like the light novels better than the manga.

adventurous funny mysterious medium-paced

The beginning feels a bit silly, but I eventually found myself hooked and sucked into the world and characters. It's interesting to read about all the city planning and I even nearly shed a tear at one point (no spoilers!). This was well-paced and I enjoyed reading it, I definitely can't wait for more!!
