this looks like it should be psych ward horror from the cover, but it's family drama/long lost twin with some mysterious powerful forces moving behind the scenes to keep one locked up and the other in the dark. it's fast and fun.

Sarah Pekkanen always delivers when it comes to thrillers! I was immediately sucked in as we learn about twins separated at birth. When Georgia is accused of murdering her (other) sister, she can only rely on her unknown twin to save her. There was such a a deliberate web and no way out. I was guessing all the way to the end on how it would turn out! Highly recommend!!

mysterious tense

Hooked me from the start but kinda dragged in the middle. Twists were good but not mind-boggling.

The Locked Ward is my second book by Sarah Pekkanen. I like to go in books blind so the only reason I picked this book was because of the author. Since I did not know what it was about the only expectation I had was knowing the author.
The book was not as good as the other one but I did not see the twist coming either. It was a book full of drama and lies that you never knew were the turns were going to take you next. I do wish we had a bit more craziness in the ward though.

Thanks to NetGalley and St Martins Press for a gifted copy in exchange for a honest review.
