the word swanky was used too much for my liking, same with the Eagles chanting and fight songs, but i found Pat to be a interesting MC and thought Tiffany kept things fun. i feel like the
memory loss reasoning was overhyped, like what he went through didn't rationalize why the MC going away for 4 years and not remembering anything from that time frame was enough to make someone forget that much of their life
and the Kenny G explanation made more sense once the final 20 pages or so came up. i vibed with the therapist and enjoyed the brotherly relationship
i wish there was a happier ending to the mom and dad's storyline but maybe that's the point of the book is not all stories have a happy ending and you just learn to live with what you have, but still the mom deserves a reward and a hug imo
