As an AFAB autistic myself, I felt that this book spoke to many of my lived experiences. I found myself in the expression of intellect covering for other limitations and struggles, and in the challenges in friendships and social interactions throughout my life. Even in the differences between America and Sweden, I find that we have much in common. Thank you for this memoir and these stories. It is good to be alone together.

4.5/ A really interesting read and loved when past female writers had been used as references for almost definitely having autism during a time when it was more unknown. Women on the spectrum deserve finally having attention on them !!

A very good book written with a pov from women.

A quote that I feel closely connected with: "people telling her that she doesn't seem autistic. They mean well, but don't understand that Carolina isn't ashamed of her diagnosis. 'When people say that, I begin to question myself and think:"No, maybe I don't have autism. Maybe I'm just lazy and stupid." But I know now how hard I've fought and that is not a lazy person.'"
