I loved the rep of both autism and Vietnamese culture, but some of the spicy stuff was a bit uncomfortable, and the mutual "'m not good enough for them" trope was frustrating.

I'm not really sure what I was expecting with this book but it certainly wasn't that. Some parts were really good and those parts and the fast pace were what kept me reading it. I know communication skills were a big character flaw in the book but dang it got a bit repetitive with the assumptions and lack of communication on both ends, especially towards the end. I do love how there was no pressure for the FMC and the boundaries were set and accepted. The MMC had a unique set of hobbies and skills and had a soft and caring heart. He definitely had his flaws and they were reflected throughout the book. The ending just felt a bit rushed and the epilogue seemed pointless. It would've been better without an epilogue or a completely different one to begin with. I understand the point of the book but it also just didn't have much of a plot to begin with that lined up with the events of the story.

“Only in his line of work was blindness by nipple assault a true hazard.”

“That’s my girl,” he whispered as he leaned down to kiss her.”

“The kiss. This was Dexter Stewart Mortimer Niles.”

I loved this a lot, but at the end I felt that he acted a little like Philip, and that made me iffy. Mostly it was a lot of respect and understanding, and no pressure for our girl, so I’ll give it a 4 ✨

Addicting! Although this was sometimes straight up porn (don’t let anybody read over your shoulder) it was also very cute and informative. Let me just tell me how I LOVE Michaels hobby and work?? I have never ever read a book with a man who does what he does. (Not the escort part ;))

SpoilerIT'S THE DARN MISCOMMUNICATION FOR ME-
i literally do not care if it lasted a couple days, a week, but that was tough. it lowkey ruined the book for me. the insta-love wasn't bad or anything, but it was WAYYY better than miss colleen hoover. and also what's up with the epilogue?? sorry but for me that was soooo unnecessary. I saw a lot of people saying it fell flat for them and i didn't believe it but, know i do. that's all i can describe it as. It fell so flat for me. it was promising, then it just turned to a wattpad, and then the darn trope ruined it for me. It was good ish at some points and all, but like i wrote in the last sentence it got ruined for me. so yeah. disappointed.
