Didn't hate or like it - a bit cringey. I don't have much to say, but I wish I cared about the characters more.

I really enjoyed the way the author played with tropes and allowed these characters to grow. I was a little put off by the jealousy / manly man / kinda controlling part there for a bit with the MMC, but they seem to get to a beautiful place at the end. It was weird that the MMC had that phase, it wasn't something I was expecting going in with these characters. The family building and the interactions were very nice and really neat to see. And having an autistic FMC was really lovely.

The Kiss Quotient is the first contemporary romance I have read, and I really enjoyed it!

This story is essentially a gender-swapped Pretty Woman, with a more diverse set of lovable characters.

Stella is an econometrician with autism. Michael is serving as an escort to help
pay for his mom's cancer treatment
. Pushed by her mom, Stella hires Michael to help her
learn to be better at sex and relationships
. Seeing their romance develop was incredibly heartwarming for me, and I truly enjoyed this story.

The main criticism I saw before reading was that their relationship felt like insta-love. I would agree with this sentiment, but I did not find it to be bothersome. With this premise, I think it might be a little difficult for the romance to progress without a little insta-love, and thus did not find it to be particularly problematic.

I found this romance to be delightfully unique due to the set of circumstances and diverse cast. I recommend it for any contemporary romance reader!

Taylor Swift songs: “afterglow”

Age rating: 17+ (around 5 steamy scenes, 2.5/5🌶️)

Oh my gosh this was such a great sweet and spicy book!! The fmc is Asian-American and has autism and the mmc is Vietnamese-Swedish. It was so vulnerable and tender and sweet!!! I loved that it was dual POV! I love fake-dating or relationship “lessons”, and this was *chef’s kiss*. Their chemistry was off the charts. I loved how patient and understanding Michael was of her boundaries and how he literally didn’t even have to think about it, he automatically accommodated her needs and respected her boundaries. I loved seeing both of them realize that they are worthy of love, just how they are. Overall, the writing was great! There was just enough sweetness, spice, external plot, and emotional growth. I will be reading the other books in this interconnected stand-alone series!!

Tw: abandonment of parent, ableism, workplace sexual harassment, stalker, consensual unprotected sex
