peggysfondue's review against another edition

This one was clearly better than the previous one. I like this new storyline with the staff, it's complicated and interesting, though I think Nico is kind of messing it up for obvious reasons.

I was a bit worried about this issue, truth be told. The last issue felt sort of childish…so I was worried they were switching the tone. Thankfully that doesn’t seem to be the case. Though the children of the Gibborum do see to still be a threat (just not one that was present for this issue).
This issue focused primarily on Nico. Specially on her staff and its origins. It was not something I expected, to put it mildly. I’m not sure how I could have reacted, had I been in Nico’s position…but I can tell you that there’s no way I would have accepted the bargain made at the end like she did. That way lay dragons. What I mean to say is that I’ve read enough about faeries and magical contracts to know better than to agree to that one. You’d think Nico would know better too.
