This volume primarily serves to provide a backstory to Skypiea's current events by taking readers back to the events that happened while Noland and Kalgara were living. While the content was good, I found that the large flashback in the midst of Skypiea's climax largely took me out of the moment.
Graphic: Animal death, Death, Racism, Self harm, Violence, Blood, Grief, Fire/Fire injury, Injury/Injury detail, and Pandemic/Epidemic
Moderate: Genocide, Sexism, and Colonisation
Minor: Alcohol

This volume really elevates this arc as we get some incredibly important backstories about the world and characters. So far, this arc has been one of my least favorites but this volume really improved my enjoyment. Oda continues to absolutely hit character development and backstories out of the park. What an incredible storyteller.
