description

I really enjoyed this book a lot! I read a couple of reviews and knew what the heartbreaking situation was (which was the reason I wanted to read this book). This is the first book I read that handled a situation like this one. It was really heartbreaking to read, but also beautiful in how it brought two broken characters together. I wish the book was longer because I wasn't finished with Garrett and Sam's story. I also loved the side characters such as the rest of the guys from Epic Fail, aunt Peggy and Cassie. I especially loved aunt Peggy who plays such an important role in both characters lives. She is a very strong and supportive woman. I would love for her to find her HEA.

What I didn't like that much was the conflict towards the end. I can understand Sam getting upset but didn't necessary agree with her actions. It was in my opinion a bit too much. For the rest it was really good, and I can't wait to read the next books in the series. I wonder if Cassie will be one of the guys love interest (I hope so!).

TRUDY HAS DONE IT GUYS. She got me out of my slump. She did it. I love her. I loved this book. Insert mushy sigh.

When a one night stand shows back up in Garrett’s life, she completely turns his whole world upside down. Samantha, who has also suffered a lot, is thrust into the middle of Garrett’s life and from there the two of them try to navigate their way through their new realities.

Along the way…love forms. And it's beautiful. And slow building. And magical. And I loved it. It was great.

"You've made me want to erase all of the sins of my past and be worthy of you."

I liked the slow build up, I can't express that enough. And there was no lulls along the way. Zilch. I liked how Garrett changed through out the whole book. It wasn't a fast change, it was just right. The story is well written and their past and present are perfectly intertwined to gradually reveal the whole story and all of it just comes together so well in the end. And God, I loved it. (Did I already say that? I did didn't I? Oh well)

Epic Sins is a beautiful, emotional and lovely story, with one additional little character that will steal your heart. Guaranteed.

Now, if you need me I'm going to be binge reading all of Trudy's books. THANKS, GIRL!

Baby Kai broke my heart. Garrett made me angry. Sam I want to be. The characters in this book all have their own personalities that worked into the story to make it great. I liked that the foucs was on the baby but there was not enough focus on Sam and Garrett. We slowly saw Garrett falling for Sam but not really her falling for him. I would have liked their relationship to have a little more focus. The twist at the end was one I saw coming but I didn't like how it unfloded. The way Sam reacted annoyed me. I wish it had been done different. I understand why it had to happen but I just didn't feel it. Overall the writting was done well, and the story flowed.

The writing was fantastic but I couldn't deal with anymore flashbacks. I'm sure they were pivotal to the story but I wanted to know what was going on in the present, not the past.

This is my first time reading a book from this author and I have to say that her story-telling skills are amazing. This was one of the books that truly makes the reader feel. It was a very real and touching story.
Garrett is in a famous band. He likes to party. His life comes to an unexpected halt when he finds out that he is a father.
Sam is a neonatal nurse. She has tried all her life to get over her parents' tragic death. When her life falls apart, she agrees to take care of a baby with neonatal abstinence syndrome. Her life clashes with Garrett's and together they must unite forces to help Garrett's son.
But love will find you even in the strangest of places.
I have to be honest and say that my favorite characters were Garrett, baby Kai and Peggy. I simply loved how Garrett grew up and took responsibility for his son. We see him turning from a reckless rock star to a devoted father. I adored his relationship with Kai.
Sam was strong but her character angered me during the last 20% of the book. I found the drama weak and I wanted the story to take a different direction.

The writing was excellent though and I loved how the author touches such an undiscovered theme. Simply fantastic idea and execution.

❤ 4 Stars❤

I recommend it to every sensitive soul out there.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
