My first audiobook and I’m still not sure how I feel about those in general, but the story itself was great.
I thought the story developed fairly naturally and I liked all of the characters. I am admittedly a fan of the ice queen trope, but the way Eva and Lily’s relationship develops without compromising Eva’s personality was particularly good.

THIS IS A POSITIVE REVIEW BUT IT SOUNDS NEGATIVE.
You can tell this book is written well because I was physically cringing in the first 100 pages. The tension is not only so real but you can feel it coming off the pages.
What i liked even more about this book was the twist. Not only was i not expecting it but it added something to drive the book for me.
I think the subplots are all excellently written well and add a lot to the book. The GSA, the tutoring and the texting add instead of distracting from the romance. It was fascinating to read how they supported the main plot.
Overall would highly recommend this book.

I cannot wrap my mind about how after everything that happened, all the push and pull I was still hoping these two would end up together. Normally I'd be all for Lily to give Eva the middle finger and "byyyeee" her, but no... I spent the whole reading with a goofy smile on my face begging Eva to stop being such a fool and be happy.
So yeah, I loved it, it was loads of fun, I really had a big smile on my face all the time, even when Eva was being a dick. On that note, I think it's because we can see all the redeeming traits/actions/thoughts she has, like you want to get mad at her but you know deep down she wants it all and is just too stubborn to admit and/or accept it. Thank fuck Lily is as much stubborn in completely different way and regaled us with the right amount of perseverance to balance it all.
Oh, and I think this one is almost a feel good book, there's barely any drama here, honestly I couldn't point anything specific and I loved it for it. And even better, the book was on the lengthy side. Yet, with it being so entertaining, to say the least, it felt just like a novella. Done in the blink of an eye haha.
I'd love to meet these two again, see how the navigate the school year as a couple. I bet it would be just as much fan, if not more. And I'm also betting that people are begging for more. I'm people. Pretty please?

This was pretty decent, but I think Those Who Wait does the grumpy sunshine over text thing in a way that engaged me more so this one gets three stars.

3.5* rounded up
This story is not particularly original but it's well written and enjoyable enough to curl up on the couch with. All the angst and going back and forth was a bit annoying towards the end which felt a little rushed. I wanted more conversations between the two MC's regarding their insecurities, past relationships and the fear and pain they had caused.
