The relationship that builds between Titus and Rae is absolutely to die for. I love reading the guardians stories and getting more background on each person.
If you’re up to date with the others you know that Titus has some *demons* to battle and I loved reading his journey and the importance of meeting Rae.
Rae is in her own category. She cares so much and is so strong I love her. Especially in this world where she is “just” a human. She’s over come so much and is a honestly a total bad ass. I love her personality and how she made so many sacrifices for her loved ones.

I was soooo looking forward to Titus's story, and I was not disappointed. Love a capable female love interest, and I was SO into the kink. Plus, an MMC with piercings, yes please.

So, the story itself was good! We got some more insight into the Guardians, how they work, and their world in general. Some more world building, and I thought the pacing of the story was really good as well. Read this in almost one go, and might put on my list for enjoyable re-reads. Definitely a great story for anyone into kink, which is mostly D/s (bratty sub) here, and I'd be up for reading another book on those two. Also liked how Rae was instantly adopted into the growing adopted family.

As always with this series, heed the CNs. There are some dark themes here, including a toxic sibling relationship, death of parent (historic, off page), etc.

Here, Taylor introduces a morally grey, completely new FMC whom I LOVE. I think this book has my favourite main characters so far! Rae is absolutely amazing, that strong female character I tend to gravitate towards and Titus? Oh gosh 🥵 he is everything you want! Not to mention, he has kinks for daaaaays! Aside from Rae being hired to kill Titus, their forced proximity and all the sexual tention that made this book great, the cliffhanger I mention above was explored and I loved the outcome of it! I cannot wait for the next installment of this series. Sythe and Jax's books are going to be brilliant BUT I really hope Lucifer gets his own book because he is my overall favorite character😍
