"The Yellow Wallpaper" is short story, but it feels like it goes on forever. Despite that, I found myself drawn to its themes. It really makes you think about mental health, gender roles, and societal pressures. It's one of those books that gets better the more you analyse it. So, while it might seem like a bit of a drag at first, it's definitely worth the deep dive. After i finished this book I watched a few videos analysing the themes of the novel. With this new found knowledge, I believe I would enjoy this book more if I reread it

This is a interesting short story that paints a grim picture of marriage in the 19th century. There was a foreword at the beginning that explained the history and it honestly made me like the story more. It was all of 15 pages, but boy did it make me rage. The plot, put simply, is a sick woman taken to the countryside by her doctor husband to recover. Her husband is demeaning when she tells him she is struggling with the yellow wallpaper in their room and calls her “girl” and “lamb”

Interesting book. But I got a bit tired from all the wallpaper talk.
