I'm just very confused about this but I still had a good time and it was really compelling and creepy and had lots of inhale deeply parts. I definitely want to reread it in the future, to see if I can pick the clues throughout
because um her friend being a swan/not real??? Had me gagged

An eerily familiar depiction of womanhood in academia, girlhood more generally, the deapths and breadth of the imagination and how contradictory our feelings can be. This book asks some of the quintessential questions of female relationships- Do I love her or hate her? Do I want her or want to be her? Am I just like other girls or am I different, and what does that really mean? What does it mean to be one of the it girls? Although I don't know if I personally enjoyed or aligned with some of the responses offered by the narrative, I was intrigued by the questions. A horror story about loneliness. It's got for everyone, but it's really great.
