DID NOT FINISH

Audio, DNF @ 55%
This got really repetitive really quick.
I tried coming back to it after setting it aside for a few weeks and still couldn't do it.
This would probably be best if one read like 2 or 3 essays a year. I don't read like that, so it's not for me.
Leaving unrated bc it's not terrible, it's just not my thing.

A bit overhyped, but overall it’s an insightful read that makes you self-reflect

not all of the essays spoke to me currently, and not all were new ideas that will “change the way I think.” But I think a majority of what is written here provides a great experience of self reflection, diving deeper into why we do certain things even when we know we shouldn’t. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and gifted it to a few of my friends. It’s easily digestible even for a non reader, so it makes a great gift.

2.5 - Emotional intelligence is crucial for everyone, however this books feels more like way to perfection, toxic perfection. There’s a few essays that are good tho.

My first 5 star book of the year and I loved it so much that I’m immediately reading it again. I wouldn’t say I love the writing so much as the messaging. “Feeling uncomfortable is a signal that you’re on the precipice of something new and better. But you must take action.”
