I love this book but that’s no surprise because i also loved the movie. Ninny Threadgood is my favorite to be honest she’s so funny.

It could’ve been a perfect light hearted read but the blatant racism and fatphobia was bit too much for me.

I have such mixed feelings about this. Parts of this were sweet but the rest of it really wasn’t. It was well written though. I did feel transported in time - be that good or not
