I was looking forward to reading this because it's a pretty well known series and even though the movie wasn't a big hit I really loved the movie. But the book was a lot different than the movie. It is really slow, it draws things out way too long before continuing the plot. And I really didn't like the way the dialogue was written

One of my favourite fantasy books for sure. Lovable characters, strong prose, even some poetry and folk-songs included!
