INCREDIBLE MYSTERY! Kept me guessing until the end, different perspectives from opposite sides of the story were super insightful and made me think. A lovely murder mystery without too much gore.
A decent mystery. Lays out a number of possible solutions for the reader to consider. I thought the writing felt a little flat in tone, and for some reason the formatting of the dialogue didn’t flow naturally for my eyes (like the line breaks and punctuation made it hard to figure out who was speaking at some points). Though that’s probably just a matter of style…and me sucking a reading. It’s a shame the writing didn’t pull me in more because I do like the plot.

This felt like the skeleton of a book that could've been amazing. It almost felt like the first draft so that one could get the idea of what was going to happen and how, before the author completely fleshes the story out. Now, obviously I don't know if this also had to do with the translation.
I just don't understand some of the writing choices, and the ending... I didn't mind the outcome but the way it was written and presented, was just... no.

This was definitely a page turner but I hated how women characters were treated in this and I disliked the way the author would expose/reveal facts. I did, however, enjoy the murderer reveal. It was very subtle at first and I actually went back to check that I read correctly. 😂 it's been awhile since I read "and then there were none" so I can't give an accurate comparison, but I know that was one of my favorite mysteries I had read in awhile and this one was NOT so it obviously isn't comparable.
