AHHH you guys. I don't know what it is, but I really enjoy the writing, Devney does a really good job creating an atmosphere and the romance, but after reading about 12 dark motorcycle romances, I was in the mood for that to continue, give me a nice kidnapping or some fist fights, ya feel me?

I really liked Isiah and V's (because I am not good at spelling names) romance. Marriage of inconvenience is one of my favorite tropes, and this one did a pretty good job.

I just feel like the action and the mystery were on the back burner. Like first book left the murder mystery open ended so you had to pick up this book if you wanted to know what happened to V's mom, even though you didn't necessarily need to read the first book to enjoy this one since these books are said to be standalones, it would give you more enjoyment if you read both books so far.

I will say the person that Devney chose for the murderer was shocking to me, maybe because the mystery wasn't in the forefront of my mind, because that is how the writing was situated, this was a romance/relationship heavy MC (if you can consider these books MC since it is about a Motorcycle Club that is no more, but yet still has at least 4 members...?)

I think that the reason this was so disappointing to me was because we didn't get any action with the mystery until 10 PAGES before the end of the book..... I was a little upset at that because it could have had more action or craziness that happened instead of rushing it in those 10 pages... When I think of MC romance I think of action, fights, kidnappings, killings, mystery, adventure, alpha males, all the works.. this one felt like the light and fluffy twin brother of an MC romance, very little action, no kidnappings, some mystery but a brooding alpha who I wanted to hug.

I think that the internal dialogue was very repetitive in this story as well..

But overall I enjoyed this book, debating on continuing the series though... I love all the covers, that I want them for my collection... but will I read it... ugh the struggle.

P.S.: It's been a while since I wrote a review or read a book in french so here we’re.

I had read this book ages ago not realising it was part of a series until after I had finished it. Due to this, as I was reading I could remember bits and pieces of it. I highly enjoyed this book the second time around as much as the first. I loved the plot twists that happened in it. loved Genevieve as a character and I loved her relationship with Isaiah. I also adored the nicknames he had for her. I am annoyed, however, that the main issues have still not been resolved in this book.
