As I was reading "Elliot's War" I couldn't help but notice magical, almost elfin feeling to it.

Maybe because it is set in the woods during the night and takes place under an ancient oak and by a campfire, maybe because there are a lot of strange jolly blue people drinking ale and having fun while a silly "war game" goes on in the woods, providing them with "prisoners".

There was a certain dreamlike quality to it, too. Elliot is so shocked at what is happening to him he can't quite wake up from this fantasy-come-to-life, can't believe that it's all true. And of course there is that "sunrise" that threatens to take away what Elliot wants more than anything in his life...

Did I say "magical"? lol

Another 10-star story :)
