This was the first Agatha Christie novel I've ever read. I chose to read it in anticipation of the movie coming out in November 2017. It was a great little book, and it demonstrates why Christie is known as the Queen of Mystery. By no means was this the best mystery novel I've ever encountered, but it was suspenseful enough and had a plot interesting enough to keep me going. Overall, a good introduction to Christie's work.

I enjoyed the book, but I think my perception of the story got a bit disfigured due to having watched the classic adaptation of it, which appears way darker and intense.
Branagh's film, however, does this book no justice.
In my opinion, this is one of those books you simply have to read. It's another extraordinary murder mystery that is unlike any other, so I'm not surprised that this one is considered to be one of her best works.
