A murder in carriage and the event that unfolds is the main plot. Hercule Poirot, who happens to be inside the train, interviews each and every one to find the culprit. The thought process of detective and drawing of conclusion is excellent. The most consequential thing is that Ms. Christie prospered in writing a thriller that was capricious. Her experience and competency coalesced in this book. As always the author put as in dark and surprises at the ending. Her ability to derive such endings is impeccable.
