I really loved this. I don't really know how to review a mystery book, but I'll say this: I will DEFINITELY be reading more of M. Hercule Poirot's mysteries. :D
mysterious
Loved the plot twists! Felt like the random French words and dialogue in it made it harder to read bc I had to keep stopping and Google it. Overall a fun read!

This was my first Agata Christie novel. Through luck I had never seen the films or had the story spoiled so I came into this completely blind. The ending blew me away, not what I expected at all.
Really fun reading experience, read (almost) all of it on a flight and it kept me entertained the whole travel.

It was good, but the ending was very abrupt and we didn’t really get to see any of their reactions. It was fun to see all the pieces come together though, but it wasn’t really as exciting as I thought it would be (though I definitely didn’t guess it haha, so A+ for originality).
The book was brilliant! Agatha Christie is a genius. It was interesting from the start to the end (although the interview part is a tad bit boring), The train, The diverse occupants, Some shady behaviour of the occupants, The seemingly impossible murder, The diverse characters, The setting in the early nineteenth century did an excellent job to keep the book a real page-turner. There are more than 12 characters in the book and each of them had authentic personality which added to the realism. Looking back at Poirot's method of handling the case made me realize that Poirot plays people, Whereas Sherlock mostly relies upon science and facts. Not saying that Poirot doesn't but comparatively he has more emotional intelligence and hence, as a result is a lot better at reading/manipulating people than Mr. Holmes.
Interesting twists! I did struggle a bit to keep track of all the characters and their stories. I’m not sure how I feel about the 12 of them being judge, jury, and executioner though even if Ratchett deserved it.
“Murder On The Orient Express,” one of Agatha Christie’s most renowned mysteries, has, for me, become an unforgettable read. Although “The Murder of Roger Ackroyd” is known to be the Poirot mystery with the most jaw-dropping twist, I would argue that the twists and turns in this novel surpass those in Ackroyd. I was captivated throughout and finished it in one day. I particularly appreciated the dynamic cast of characters, the meticulous nature of Poirot’s investigation, and most of all, the conclusion– it was profoundly satisfying. This book is iconic for a reason; it fully merits the acclaim it receives. A five star read, without a doubt.
My first Agatha Christie book! What a great read! As for the mystery solving.... I'll save that for Hercule Poirot.
