It was okay, but I didn't love it like I liked the first book in the series. This one felt like it built on Sorcerer Royal without contributing much that was new. Even the characters from the first book didn't seem to grow or develop much in this one.

Very delightful - albeit predictable - in every sense of the word.
Do I think this companion novel is as overall successful as Sorcerer Royal? Probably not. But it’s fun. Muna is an excellent addition to this world. And while you could easily see each twist coming from eons away, it didn’t make the telling any less diverting or interesting.
It’s really nice to see Henrietta shine as well!

Like the first book this started a little bit slowly, but soon gathered pace. Some interesting characters and a good story charmingly told. I wonder if there'll be any more in the series?
