A short interlude story, so not much of a build up to the mystery so that felt a bit incomplete.
I haven't read the Witchbane stories, so I may now have to go do that!!
Enjoyable

2021: Short crossover story.
2020: (Available at Prolific works) Should read the two Witchbane books remaining first.

I was impressed with how complete the story arc was for a short story/novella. There is a well developed storyline with time for the development of the antagonist and the investigation into the crimes. There was even a bit of character development for Seth.
If you have not read the Witchbane books you might not fully appreciate this crossover as there is a lot of background on Seth and Evan you should have to fully appreciate this story. The story is still intriguing on its own but there is quite a bit that is particularly relevant to Seth and Evan. The book is best read after having read Unholy. Ithoroughly enjoyed it.
