Read this bad boy for work. Pretty solid advance on how to get my finances in order though.

Excellent book!!! Would recommend reading to anyone trying to learn how to manage their finances. This book was filled with a lot of great information and is the type of book you go to again and again because there is way too much information to just read through one time

This book is the reason I have a retirement account at all! Granted, I've only saved about $200, but better than nothing, right?

My sister gave me this book a few years ago. And I actually read the whole thing: it is quite engaging! Now I use it as reference for things I do not understand and barely wish to. Like insurance and 401K plans. But it is inspiring too... asking the question "what do you want to do with your money?" in terms of your dreams... the barely reachable ones... and makes them totally realistic to achieve. Smart. GIRLS! GET THIS BOOK! oh, and guys too.

Why do so many personal finance books tend to have cringey titles? Though it was patronizing and gendered at times, the content was well-intentioned, instructive, and approachable. I would still prefer Women and Money by Suze Orman over Smart Women Finish Rich. These books are similar in that they cover financial issues that disproportionately affect women but I find Orman to be more informative overall.
