I love Bloodborne. It's a game I really enjoyed, especially how the game leaves lots of the story up for interpretation.  This story just doesn't work unless you already have an understanding of the game world. I can't imagine anyone going in blind really could get much from this narritively.

On top of that is has a great misunderstanding of the characters it does use. It feels as if the writer only had second hand information of them and made up the rest. Which is frustrating to see. I know that adaptations do take liberties with plot and characters but it felt less like a purposeful change and more of a misunderstanding.

The artwork however is absolutely stunning. It really understands the vibe of the game and translates nicely.
