I was really excited to read this book and it was highly recommended to me. I liked the idea of the plot and that it was a book about a book. I also really liked the anticipation of knowing that at some point we'd learn the plot of Crib that got Bonner so famous. But at some point the storyline started getting way too complicated and I got confused by how many moving parts there were. I didn't actually think the Crib storyline was that great, it was disturbing and I found the fact that Anna was actually Rose Parker pretty predictable. I didn't find Jake's death predictable at all, but I just didn't really like how the entire thing ended, a little too twisted.

I really enjoyed this book. It's a slow burn but a unique premise, and the author's skilled storytelling kept me turning the pages. Such a good thriller!

While I was able to predict the antagonist early on, I thought this book was great

I really liked this! The mystery kept me guessing, and I didn't anticipate the big reveal until close to when it happened. The book within a book concept is not something I typically enjoy, but in this case, it made perfect sense. My only issue with the book overall is that the "big thing" in the book within this book wasn't anywhere NEAR as shocking/unique as it was played up to be. But I had a lot of fun reading this.

Meh. Predictable and not particularly challenging in any way. Fine for a somewhat entertaining, mysterious distraction, but not much else.

I like the plot of The Plot. I even liked the metaplot of The Plot. It's a fun murder mystery but the Korelitz got too self absorbed by her book and the twist ending became too obvious too early on, so I spent half the book waiting for the shoe to drop. But the story itself was pretty good and I liked the characters and their flaws, psychos that they are.
Also, not the biggest fan of this narrator. I usually listen at 1.5 speed because I'm impatient, but I found this book impossible to listen to at 1.0 speed, it just took soooooooo for him to get through any words.
