Incredible book. Jeanette McCurdy has a really incredible skill as an author, and is able to recall her heartbreaking and horrible past in a way which is funny, light enough to withstand, and makes you feel like you were right there beside her through it all. An amazing memoir, as said by someone who never reads memoirs. I got the audiobook and highly recommend it. Hearing her words in her voice was incredible. She is such a talented storyteller.

An extremely challenging read/listen, but it's a million times over worth it.

It's a really good book, makes you think about what child actors feel like when i watch a movie. Jennette McCurdy has a way of writing that I don't see often and I couldn't put the book down, though I did quite a few stares when I was reading it because of the title.
