I read this for my PhD work and it has been incredibly helpful. What an amazing collection of essays and authors. Vital for anybody doing fat studies or anybody interested in learning more about fat studies.

It is always really difficult for me to review edited collections. Some of the articles included in this collection will help direct my own Fat Studies research and will, no questions asked, irrefutably impact my own thinking around/of fatness and fat studies for the rest of my PhD program and beyond. Others fell short for me, playing too much into the masculine expectations of 'real' scholarship -meaning dry, over burdened with jargon and indecipherable academic language(and this is coming from a 2nd year PhD candidate). But what a great resource to have - I am disappointed that the publisher has made this volume so inaccessible to those without access to academic library's though.
