This is a really really solid sequel. I like Bloodleaf enough, but Greythorne is better.
I was unsure starting off because of the ending of Bloodleaf and everything that was done to save a certain someone. Greythorne looked like it was going back on all that work and I was not happy.
But fear not, this is actually a really well thought out and smart story/plot. I was surprised and intrigued enough to have to read this in one go. Especially about the sisters.
And now I'm left waiting for the final book. Because wow that was an unexpected ending.
Unfortunately, Greythorne has been pushed back a few months because we're in 2020 friends. But if you liked Bloodleaf(even if you were on the fence), the wait for Greythorne is worth it. The magic and intrigue is 100% there.

The problem with reading a book early is how long you have to wait for the next book.
Things I Remembered About Bloodleaf, Which I Read A Year And A Half Ago, Before I Started Greythorne:
1) I really enjoyed it.
2) Bits of it were based on The Goose Girl.
Things I Remembered About Bloodleaf, Which I Read A Year And A Half Ago, As I Read Greythorne:
1) It had words, I assume, or maybe I imagined them.
This is a proof, I know that, so I'm dearly hoping there'll be a recap in the actual book. Usually there are reminders in the narration, but either I missed them or there aren't any in this book. I enjoyed the writing, the descriptions were lovely, but I genuinely had no idea what was going on at any point or who anyone was.

Well, that wasn't as bad as Bloodleaf, but that's not exactly saying a whole lot considering I hated Bloodleaf.
The best thing about this book was Onal, but because she's both gay and a woman, obviously she had to die. (Seriously. please fucking stop).
