It’s a story about love and matchmaking. I read it quite quickly.

Round 2! 🛎 🛎

💍Last fall I listened to this charming story in preparation for hearing Linda Loigman speak at Morisstown Book Festival.

✡️Since May is Jewish American Heritage Month, Bookbarct and I chose this as our Novel Thougts Book Club selection and Linda will be joining us in conversation May 22. We hope you can join us!

🕍 Written with dual timelines and from the POV of Sara in 1910 and her granddaughter Abby in 1994, this charming story will make you believe that every pot has a lid and how stepping into your true calling can be magical.

🗽As a child living in the Lower East Side in New York, Sara knew she had a gift for seeing when two people should be together, but matchmaking was a tradition for religious married men, not unwed young girls. Her stories get passed down through the family and when she dies, it’s her successful granddaughter Abby, a divorce attorney who inherits Sara’s journals, and now must figure out their purpose as well as her own. It’s a beautiful story rich with tradition and history.

Sweet, easy, warm. Really nice audiobook.  I appreciated hearing the Yiddish words that I wouldn’t know how to pronounce.  Like a good hallmark movie, but better.  Less predictable and more magical.
