This was not my favorite romance but it was not the worst. My favorite part about this novel was that it followed a 40 something woman! RomComs always follow women who are in their 20's so this was very refreshing.
The love interest Michael was so sweet and his character development was amazing. I loved every single friendship in this novel and how it helped both Michael and Vanessa's character development. My biggest gripe with this book however was that, the romance was a bit to fast for my liking.
But overall it was a decent romance novel, and I look forward to the next book in series.

Cute story and lots of smut, but I didn’t click with the writing style. A but stiff/formal. Cringe. He set her up a Zoom and she was like “what?” and he said “I set up a virtual call for you.” Who the hell says that?

I liked this book. It took some time to get into and it was a tad insta love. Pretty spicy. I did appreciate how it was resolved and how the characters had reasons the reader understood behind their choices. Some parts felt repetitive.
