Mostly loved it while reading, but truly what the heck was going on in this book lol. So many unresolved threads, weirdly rushed ending? no real explanation for the biggest conflict- but they’re cute so I’ll allow it. The different epilogues in diff editions was messed up 💀 no to capitalism!

The sadness I feel that the story is completed, I still have question lol, I didn't think this series could top Caraval series but it really did. It made me almost think of Shrek 2 when reading it where Caraval felt like Alice in Wonderland it was a nice change up of pace while also feeling like it kept that magical feel ✨️ if this is on your TBR here is your sign to read it! (If you haven't read the Caraval series I highly recommend reading it first, it will be more enjoyable)

I’m just going to pretend the story ended after the ballad of the never after.
I’m happy for evajacks but their HEA was underwhelming after such incredible build up in the first two books. The ending as a whole was kind of cringy and what happened to the plot?? There were too many unnecessary additions to this book that just didn’t make much sense or add anything to the story.
I stand by the fact that Jacks was no where in this book. I don’t know who that was, but it was not Jacks.
