Ian McEwan, I am failing to connect with you. I promise to try one of your other books.

3,5.
Het begin vond ik helemaal niks. Daarna pakte het verhaal mij en dan weer niet en wel en niet en wel. Dus ik weet niet goed wat ik er nou echt van vind. Kut begin, top einde?

A mild touch of post modernism with the narrator. I appreciate how the sections seem to be written by a different author. This is the first book from this author I’ve read, but will read more!

I like it, especially the first part. But I really don't like Briony, and it gets worse toward the end.

It broke my heart! I've never felt this way about any story. For reasons I can't explain, this book really got under my skin - I love it so much it hurts.
