Very fast paced, makes for an easy and quick read but also rushes the mystery too much in a way that takes away all tension, especially in the beginning where a huge chunk is revealed immediately.
It all feels rather convenient and not believable at all how fast they’re jumping to conclusions and magically solving the mysteries first try based on pure speculation, but it was really fun with all the drawings and how the dialogue is written like a script.
I actually appreciate the open ending because the “official“ conclusion was a bit lackluster and it feels like I didn’t earn any of the answers - so things being more complicated than they seem really made me think the whole story over and question things we’ve been told. Perfect book to get me out of a reading slump.

Extremely fast-paced: every mystery is solved on the next page. Also, I found the whole premise rather unbelievable. Overall, felt more like a draft rather than a finished text.

Not as good as Strange Pictures, but still a fun, quick read of a few hours. I love Uketsu strictly for a different style of writing, as we’re getting drawings, blueprints, or charts thrown in the whole time.
