I liked the first 2/3 and then started to get bored because all of the essential questions were answered. I’ve never read a story this huge and complicated before, though, so maybe I just don’t like that kind of book. Also thought the romance wasn’t believable, 

and Ead got less interesting after she got into a relationship.

The writing was beautiful, though.

This book is one of the best reads I've had in a long time. The author has such control over her world and her cast of characters. The way the stories intertwine and reveal themselves is so satisfying to read and almost reads like a fantasy mystery with how many reveals happen throughout the book. I think I was hoping it would be a little darker than it was but if you like just a great fantasy tale with dragons and amazingly compelling characters, this is the book for you.

This book just made its way in to my all time favorites.

Despite the heavy world-building, the long list of characters, the very different settings that are described, this book is extremely easy to read. You can easily fall in love with these characters even though you are constantly aware of their flaws.

In the end I was so scared that my favorite characters were going to die that I didn't want to finish the book. That's how much I started to like these fictional people (and non-people too).

I can't wait to read more stories in this world.

There's too much to say about this book. It's probably the best I've ever read so far, and definitely my favorite.

Getting into this one was really really rough. The first chapter caught my attention and then there was just so many introductions of characters and situations that my head swam. By about 45% through though, I started to get into it. It took me a while but I liked the romance and I liked the resolution of the plot by the end of the book.
