Okay listen, my first 5 star read of the year and I was blown away. This book was everything, sweet, cute, funny, full of emotions and definitely full of this feeling of love. It's a cutesy book, but it's really good at being a cutesy book!

For those of you who want to read something to make you feel good about yourself and maybe make you believe in love, read it!

Kinda an average book, mmc was great and supportive. The plot twist didn’t really get me tho and I kinda wanted the fmc to get to a place where she felt good about herself on her own.

Cute - less spicy and more plot-y than anticipated. The lead up to the ending and last 15% was my favorite. Loved to overarching confidence theme.

could not put it down!!!!!! loved this. avery did get on my nerves a few times but man this was good!!! also could do without him calling her queen every other page.

There was so much that I loved about this book. As someone who can carry a lot of insecurities, I felt so empowered while reading “Camera Shy”. Finn was down bad for Avery, and I adored how attentive he was to her needs. I loved her growth through finally accepting herself, and recognizing her worth.

The Queen nickname was too much and sometimes, especially near the end, Avery’s inner dialogue was a bit repetitive. If those were the only issues I had, then it would have been a solid 4 ⭐️ read. Unfortunately, the third act conflict felt like too much. It actually made me think less of their relationship, when up until that point I was kicking my feet in swoony bliss. So for that, I took another 0.5 stars off my final rating.

I did have a good time reading this, and it was exactly what I was looking for regarding a fluffy read. Especially with the body positivity messaging that I took away from the book. I just wish that third act conflict didn’t occur as it truly wasn’t needed to get the same story across.
