I'd been wanting to read this for a long time. As a plus size girl myself, it's nice to see a larger girl who is desired not in spite of her size but because that's who she is. Finn is an absolute dream, the way he is so invested in building Avery's self confidence, while being completely infatuated with her in every capacity.
They don't sugar coat the very real insecurities that come with being a larger girl who is involved with someone who society tells her shouldn't even want her. But Finn is open and honest with her and helps her learn to love who she is.
Super spicy but full of heart and very well written.

I did really enjoy it but I didn’t enjoy the character being called “Queen”. That could be just a me thing though. I enjoy that the book was based on self-image and the importance of being confident in who you are no matter what you look like.
This reads like self insertion, like it’s everything the author wants for herself which is a massive yikes. This book was such a yuck with the women and horrible ex’s and lying best friends. Why must the women in spicy romance books always be at each others throats and always mean and rude and horrible? I’m not saying some women out there aren’t some mean bitches irl to other women but why can’t these books just have women supporting women? It’s not hard. Please, I just want to see women uplifting each other and having each other’s backs. What’s with all this trashy ass fighting over men??? Especially men like Finn. Gag me with a spoon. And that man is supposed to be worth it? And then we got Finn our hero who is a dreamy ripped 6 ft hung like an elephant Adonis who is also a humble loving man and falls at first sight for the heroine and wants to be with her for eternity and worship her like no other man in her life yadda yadda BORING. He’s so bland. It was a bad book. Not to mention these two are fucking in this rich guys house that’s shes house sitting for and they bone against the fish tank and Avery ends up killing one of the fishes. Like what the fuck? Lmaooo. Where is the respect for peoples property omg girl…. Anyway, Avery just needed therapy and a spa session in the Bahamas for a month, she literally had the dough to do it.
this story felt like a warm hug, being wrapped up in a fuzzy blanket on a cold evening, and truly being at piece.
i felt so connected to Avery as someone who sometimes struggles with their body image and confidence, and it made me feel so safe and so seen.
i think this storyline will stick with me for a while, hopefully the message will stay resonating with me as i grow and aim for that acceptance and personal growth.
and of course i’ll never say no to some good spice!! cherry on top.
