I freaking loved this book! This is my second book by [a:Kay Cove|22381909|Kay Cove|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1667205204p2/22381909.jpg] and I don't think she gets enough recognition. She's just as good as any popular romance author. I read [b:Camera Shy|175473448|Camera Shy (Lessons in Love, #1)|Kay Cove|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1716325827l/175473448._SY75_.jpg|182470569] in one sitting and didn't go to bed until 2:30am. I couldn't stop! However, there are 2 reasons I didn't give it 5 stars.
1. I absolutely understand body insecurity. As a curvy woman, I have had issues with how I see myself all my life, so I could relate to Avery. That being said, she was too much. How often does the poor guy have to prove his feelings for you?? Good grief! She went on and on and on... The book could've been cut in half if KC had deleted some of those scenes.

The scene at the gentlemen's club was weird. It gave me the ick. Why Finn went along with that is beyond me. Of course, Avery wasn't going to go through with it!

There are lines in this book that I will be thinking about for a long time. Finn is a male fantasy, obsessed with Avery but not for what she can do for him, yes he wants her but he is also not ruled by his d***. There are obviously some far out there elements but there are also elements to the story that ring very true to relationships. The bottom line is that you could put all of the energy into a relationship but if that energy is one sided it won't matter.
Some cringe moments but life is also cringe sometimes. It was a fast, sweet, and hot read.

Hit close to home as someone who relates a lot to Avery. Finn was too good to be true. 😭

Just ugh... Manwhore has been abstaining for three whole months. Wowsa. He was disappointed in love and in response had three- and foursomes. She was disappointed in love and stayed in and cried. Just all annoyed me and only 20% in. Not for me.
I loved Avery and finnn they are so delectable. Finn is the ideal man in all sense. The betrayal and the heartbreak makes this book worth all your attention.
