Basically, I enjoyed this book. It was a little slow for my taste, and I kept looking at the page count wondering how much longer until it ends. It’s well written and the characters are complex. Not something I would read again.

 My wife aptly described this book as an expression of feminine rage. "Slewfoot" narrates the story of Abitha, a woman living in 1666, an era rife with tales of witches and devils. The narrative prompts you to ask — who were the real devils? As a reader, you're drawn into her world, experiencing the fear, frustration, and defiance that come with challenging the status quo. The author's portrayal of Abitha's struggle for autonomy in a patriarchal society is both poignant and empowering.

This story definitely falls under the category of "good for her" I absolutely enjoyed every single second of this book with only one exception (animal death). Other than that it was twisted and gruesome and lovely!
