Never has a book so fully described the anger and frustration of life as a woman. Abitha's rage lives in all of us. The way I couldn't stop reading, couldn't put the book down because I was so in her head. We've all had to deal with a Wallace and seeing him get his due was so satisfying. I cried with Abitha and Samson and raged and rejoiced with them.
This book is definitely a new favorite and one I'll definitely recommend to every woman I know.

This book was so interesting and nothing like I have ever read before.  The vibes would be great for the fall, especially with the climax of the story taking place in October I think. I felt the feminine rage and had to take a break or two from reading because of it. But the ending was so satisfying! I wish it was a little shorter, especially in the middle. And I wish both the magic system and Slewfoot were more flushed out and dynamic.

A fantastic take on the classic puritan witch story. Fantastic characterization of Samson, and I loved Abitha’s transformation throughout the book. Brom’s paintings are eerie and his way of storytelling sucked me in. I could not stop reading!
