This is becoming quite a consistent and reliable series for me. Although I’m not usually blown away by the twists or the mystery, there’s a lot to love about Kinzie and the Santa Theresa community as a whole. I think the atmosphere will keep me coming back!

Originally read in the mid- to late-1990s.

Another good volume audio book, and Mary Peiffer has a good voice for when things like wind noise are in the way. The story was good too. I'll keep listening to this series.

3.5* Another Kinsey Milhone. I always enjoy her mysteries. But this one had the lame ending of woman following up on murderer in the dark, alone, having alerted murderer, and told no one where she is. Why do mysteries with women protagonists always fall back on this ploy to develop suspense at the end?
